How fast can someone get out to my house in Tennessee?
Call us and we will give you a real window, usually same day or next day depending on where you are in the state and how the day is running. No-cooling and no-heat calls move to the front. If your house has someone elderly, an infant, or anyone with a breathing condition, say so when you call so we can weigh that in.
My AC runs all day and the house still feels sticky. Is that normal in Tennessee summers?
Sticky air with the AC running usually means the system is not pulling moisture out, and that is worth a service call. Common causes are low refrigerant, a dirty evaporator coil, an oversized unit that short cycles, or return ducts that are undersized for the house. Before you call, change the filter and make sure the supply vents are open. Everything past that is our work, not yours.
Do you work on propane and dual-fuel systems?
Yes. Plenty of homes across the region run propane furnaces or a heat pump paired with a propane or gas furnace for the cold nights. Dual-fuel setups have a changeover point that has to be set right, and when it is off you either burn fuel you did not need to or run the heat pump when it cannot keep up. We service both sides of that system and the controls that switch between them.
What should I have ready when the technician arrives?
Clear a path to the indoor unit, whether that is a closet, a crawlspace hatch, an attic ladder or a basement corner, and pen up any dogs. If you know the brand and roughly how old the system is, tell us. Most useful of all is a plain description of what changed and when, such as "it started making a rattle Tuesday" or "the upstairs stopped cooling first."
I smell gas near the furnace. What do I do?
Get everyone out of the house first, do not flip switches or use a phone inside, and once you are outside call 911 or your gas utility. Let them clear the house. After that, call us and we will inspect the furnace, the heat exchanger and the gas connections. Same rule if a carbon monoxide alarm sounds: outside first, emergency services second, us third.
How it works
- Step 1
Tell us the symptom
Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, no air, a smell, a noise, a breaker that keeps tripping. That detail tells us what parts to bring along.
- Step 2
We diagnose on site
We check the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow and the equipment itself before we quote anything. If the problem sits in the ductwork rather than the unit, we say so plainly.
- Step 3
We repair and explain
Most air conditioning repair and heating repair work finishes in one visit. We show you the failed part, explain what caused it, and tell you what to watch for next season.

Why homeowners call us
- Propane and dual fuelPlenty of homes in our service area run propane heat or a dual fuel setup with a heat pump. We know how those systems switch over and why a bad changeover setting can leave you cold and burning fuel.
- Older houses, added ductworkFarmhouses often got ducts decades after they were built, run through crawl spaces and attics. When the equipment tests fine but rooms still fight each other, we look at the duct runs and static pressure.
- Repair before replacementA failed capacitor, a cracked wire, a clogged drain or a bad control board is a repair, not a new system. We tell you when the equipment is genuinely finished and when it is not.
- Plain talk on the phoneWe ask what the thermostat reads, whether the outdoor unit is spinning, and when it last worked normally. That two minute conversation often shortens the visit and keeps the repair cost down.
- All major brands, gas & electricCarrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York and more, as an independent company.
- Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
