Questions Indiana homeowners ask

Do you cover my part of Indiana?

Check the city list on this page first, and if you do not see your town, call us anyway. We cover a wide stretch of Indiana along with Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, West Virginia and Georgia, and our service area lines do not always match county lines. One phone call tells you for certain.

My AC quit on a humid Indiana afternoon. What can I check before you arrive?

Four safe things: thermostat batteries and settings, the breaker for the indoor and outdoor equipment, a clogged filter, and leaves or grass clippings packed against the outdoor unit. Also confirm supply vents are open. Anything involving refrigerant, gas or high-voltage wiring is ours to handle, so leave those alone and let us look.

We smell gas near the furnace. What do we do?

Get everyone out of the house first. Do not flip switches or touch the thermostat. From outside, call 911 or your gas utility and let them make the home safe. Once they clear it, call us and we will come check the furnace, heat exchanger and connections. Same goes for a carbon monoxide alarm sounding.

How does a dual-fuel or propane system change a heating repair call?

It adds a control question on top of the mechanical one. A dual-fuel setup has to decide when to stop using the heat pump and light the furnace, and a bad outdoor sensor or miswired thermostat can leave you paying for the wrong heat source. With propane, we also look at tank pressure and regulator behavior in cold weather. Tell us which setup you have when you call.

When should I schedule maintenance in Indiana?

Cooling in spring, heating in early fall, before the first stretch of weather that makes everyone call at once. If you have a heat pump, it earns two visits a year because it runs in both seasons. We will work with whatever window fits your day, and if you are between houses or renting out a place, tell us and we will plan access ahead of time.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Tell us the symptom

Call or fill in the quote form and describe what changed. Warm air, no air, a smell, a noise, a breaker that keeps tripping. That detail tells us what parts to bring along.

  2. Step 2

    We diagnose on site

We check the thermostat, the electrical side, airflow and the equipment itself before we quote anything. If the problem sits in the ductwork rather than the unit, we say so plainly.

  3. Step 3

    We repair and explain

Most air conditioning repair and heating repair work finishes in one visit. We show you the failed part, explain what caused it, and tell you what to watch for next season.

Why homeowners call us

  • Propane and dual fuelPlenty of homes in our service area run propane heat or a dual fuel setup with a heat pump. We know how those systems switch over and why a bad changeover setting can leave you cold and burning fuel.
  • Older houses, added ductworkFarmhouses often got ducts decades after they were built, run through crawl spaces and attics. When the equipment tests fine but rooms still fight each other, we look at the duct runs and static pressure.
  • Repair before replacementA failed capacitor, a cracked wire, a clogged drain or a bad control board is a repair, not a new system. We tell you when the equipment is genuinely finished and when it is not.
  • Plain talk on the phoneWe ask what the thermostat reads, whether the outdoor unit is spinning, and when it last worked normally. That two minute conversation often shortens the visit and keeps the repair cost down.
  • All major brands, gas & electricCarrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, York and more, as an independent company.
  • Straight answersIf a system is not worth repairing, we say so, often right on the phone.
